Donate today to help us alleviate food insecurity, build academic perseverance, reduce social isolation, deliver free educational programs to at-risk children, youth, adults and seniors living within our community. We have been working hard for 107 years but we cannot do it without your help.

We are grateful for your support and our programs are making a difference.

That said, 2024 sees us launching our FRIENDS OF THE GREEN DOOR initiative. This campaign encourages our supporters to consider converting annual One-Time Gifts to a Monthly Donation, as this will greatly facilitate our projections and enable us to plan and budget more accurately in the future.

Though MSCH sometimes solicits your support for a specific campaign, FRIENDS OF THE GREEN DOOR encourages you to consider donating to our General Fund as this will enable us to direct funding where it is most urgently needed. You are of course always free to select a campaign of your choice, but a small contribution ranging anywhere between $10, $15 to $25 a month or more to this fund will make ALL the difference!

Did you know that in Point St. Charles: 

  • 28.6% of all residents live with low income after taxes compared to 21.3% for the island of Montreal.  
  • 50% of seniors who live in Point St. Charles live with low income.  
  • 1 in 4 residents have not graduated from high school.
  • 1 in 2 families in this community are single parent families usually headed by a female.  
  • In 2018, the number of people utilizing food banks and meal services grew to 10,390 in the southwest
    borough of Montreal representing 13.30% of the population (Moisson Food Report, 2018).
